About Us

Masjid Noor-ul-Islam

Welcome to Masjid Noor-ul-Islam, a place of worship, learning, and building a strong community. We are dedicated to fostering a deeper connection with Allah (SWT) through worship, knowledge, and the practice of Islamic values. Our mission is to provide a welcoming environment for Muslims of all ages to grow in their faith and understanding of Islam.

The story of Masjid Noor-ul-Islam begins in the blessed month of Ramadan, in the year 1983. At that time, It was established with a vision to have a place of worship and education for the growing Muslim community. We started humbly, renting a small space on Wyandotte Street. Though modest, this was the beginning of something special.

As the months passed, the need for a larger space became evident. The community was expanding, and with the establishment of the Maktab, the demand for more room to accommodate the growing number of worshippers and children increased. Alhamdulillah, in response to this need, the congregation moved to a new location at 747 Lincoln Road, where the community continued to flourish.

Allah’s plans for Noor-ul Islam masjid were even greater. Allah (SWT) guided us to a remarkable opportunity—an old church just around the corner, at 659 Lincoln Road. The building was transformed into what we now know as Noor-ul-Islam Masjid. With this new space, the Masjid became a true center of worship, learning, and community.

From a small start to a thriving community, this journey is a testament to Allah’s blessings. What began with a few believers in a modest space has blossomed into the vibrant Masjid and Maktab we see today, Alhamdulillah.
